Walnut Street to reopen to traffic Monday

Walnut Street from South Truman Road to 13th Street will reopen Oct. 2 at 7 a.m. to two-way traffic. This opening will help alleviate downtown congestion.

This portion of Walnut Street has been closed since the summer of 2004 to accommodate utility work for the Power & Light District and the H&R Block World Headquarters building.
