City continues downtown two-way street conversions Tuesday, May 7, 2013
The City of Kansas City, Mo., will begin the second phase of its downtown street conversion project on Sunday, May 12, dependent on weather. Public Works crews will convert Walnut Street between Fifth and 12th streets from a one-way street to a two-way street to help drivers more effectively navigate downtown Kansas City.

Household Hazardous Waste Facility Closed May 7 & 8 Monday, May 6, 2013
Due to scheduled parking lot resurfacing, Kansas City’s Household Hazardous Waste Facility, located at 4707 Deramus Avenue, will be closed on Tuesday, May 7 and on Wednesday, May 8. The facility will re-open Thursday, May 9 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Residents advised of road closures due to waterline repair Friday, May 3, 2013
Due to scheduled waterline repair, roads near 32nd Street and Pennsylvania Avenue will be closed today, through Saturday, May 4. Affected roads include closure on 32nd Street, from Broadway to Pennsylvania Avenue, and on Pennsylvania Avenue, from 31st Street to 33rd Street. Traffic flow is expected to resume early next week.

New online food handler training option now available Thursday, May 2, 2013
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department is now offering a new online vendor option for food handler training, Premier Food Safety at www.PremierFoodSafety.com. In addition to Premier Food Safety, food service workers may also use State Food Safety (www.StateFoodSafety.com) for online food handler training or they may attend a classroom training session at the Health Department.
