City Pacesetters honored at recognition ceremony
Know an outstanding City employee? Nominate him or her for a Pacesetter
City of Kansas City, Mo., Mayor Sly James and Councilman Scott Wagner will honor the City’s Pacesetter Award winners and pay special tribute to former Assistant City Manager Rich Noll, for whom the award is named, during a recognition ceremony today at the Gem Theater.
Launched in 2011, the City’s Rich Noll Pacesetter Award monthly recognizes City employees who exceed expectations and exhibit strong communication skills, a dedication to customer service, teamwork skills, leadership skills and concern for coworkers.
“This award recognizes the exceptional service many of the City's employees provide to our residents every day,” said Councilman Wagner, who started the Pacesetter program. “Although they don't ask for recognition, this award provides an opportunity for us to take a moment to thank them, encourage them and let all of our employees know what we strive for by the example set by our Rich Noll Pacesetters.”
Pacesetters may be nominated by any Kansas City, Mo., resident by filling out an application at www.kcmo.org/pacesetter. A seven-person selection committee, comprising representatives from the Mayor’s Office, City Council, City departments, business community and neighborhood leaders, reviews the nominations and selects the Pacesetter winner(s) each month.
