Pfannenstiel appointed as Municipal Court administrator

City of Kansas City, Mo., City Manager Troy Schulte has announced that Megan Fuller Pfannenstiel has been appointed as the administrator of the Municipal Court. Pfannenstiel most recently served as the first assistant city prosecutor in the Kansas City, Mo., Prosecutor's Office, where she has been employed since 2004. She was selected after a national search that yielded a diverse field of highly qualified candidates.

"I am happy to name Megan Fuller Pfannenstiel as the new Municipal Court administrator,” Schulte said. “Her dedication to the law profession and her experience as the first assistant city prosecutor will be a great asset in this position. She also brings strong experience in fully optimizing the capabilities of the City’s new court management system.”

Pfannenstiel holds a Juris Doctorate and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. She was recently named an Up & Coming Lawyer 2012 by Missouri Lawyers Weekly. In July 2008, the Missouri Supreme Court appointed her to the Region IV Disciplinary Committee, where she reviews ethical complaints made against lawyers in the Kansas City area. Pfannenstiel is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Association for Women Lawyers. She also serves on the Northland Community Advisory Council for the United Way of Greater Kansas City.
