Residents advised about wastewater overflow near 2700 Penn Valley Drive
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reported a wastewater overflow due to a water main break near 2700 Penn Valley Drive on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at 11:47 a.m.
Wastewaters were discharged at a rate of 50 gallons per minute during the overflow. The wastewater ran down the curb line and entered a catch basin where it returned to the combination wastewater collection system. Wastewater did not reach any bodies of water or drainage ditches. The overflow ended at 1:25 p.m.
