Valve, hydrant repairs near 10th, Broadway may affect water service in the area
City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services crews will be repairing multiple valves and one hydrant near 10th and 11th streets and Broadway Boulevard overnight Wednesday, June 20.
Customers in the area along Broadway Boulevard from 7th-14th streets; 10th Street from Broadway Boulevard to Wyandotte Street; 11th Street from Broadway Boulevard to Central Street; and 7th Street from Broadway Boulevard to Washington Street may have low or no water pressure from midnight Wednesday, June 20 to 6 a.m. Thursday, June 21.
Expect lane closures in the area.
“When valves work properly, crews can make routine repairs with greater ease and reduce the number of customers inconvenienced by repairs,” said Water Services Director Terry Leeds. “While the testing and maintenance to make this possible will create a temporary water outage, we will work to complete testing as soon as possible and return service to customers in a timely manner.”
