Explore Kansas City during “City of Fountains Bicycle Tour” on June 17
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works and Parks and Recreation departments, in partnership with the Kansas City Metro Bicycle Club, invite residents to ride the fountains during the “City of Fountains Bicycle Tour” on Sunday, June 17 starting from Washington Square Park, at Pershing Road and Grand Boulevard.
Day of registration for this event will begin at 6 a.m. The bike tours will have staggered start times based on each tour’s distance, with the longest tour departing at 7 a.m. Participants may choose to ride a 10-mile guided tour, a 24-mile tour or a 46-mile tour. Roving support will be provided for all routes. Bicyclists will ride around many of Kansas City’s historic fountains and other landmarks including the Kansas City Museum, the Plaza, Liberty Memorial and Cliff Drive.
The staggered event starting times will bring all participants back to Washington Square Park at approximately 11 a.m. for an after-ride Picnic + Party presented by La Bodega Restaurant and Boulevard Beer. Music will be provided by the Good Sam Club Band.

Online registration costs $40 for adults and $35 for KC Metro Bicycle Club members. Online registration ends Friday, June 15, and day of event registration is $45. Children ages 18 and under are free, and must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
