WSD to replace water main on 10th Street between Main, Walnut
Following Thursday's break of the 10-inch water main, Water Services has decided to replace about 230 feet ofexisting main with new pipe on 10th Streetbetween Walnut and Main Streets.
“This main has broken a couple times over the past year causing costly street and property damage and inconvenience to consumers, “ said Water Services Director Terry Leeds. “Given these factors and the age of the pipe, the main needs to be replaced.”
WSD has coordinated this repair with the buildings adjacent to this break and the work should be completed by Monday morning. Tenth Street will be closed during construction and restoration to the will be completed next week subject to weather conditions.
