Valve test at Raytown Road, Blue Ridge Cutoff overnight
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department will perform a water valve test on Tuesday, May 1at midnight at Raytown Road and Blue Ridge Cutoff.
Customers in the area of Blue Ridge Cutoff south from Raytown Road to 57th Street and Blue Ridge Cutoff west to Byram’s Ford Road may experience low water or no water pressure for short periods during the test. The test will be completed by 6 a.m.
“Properly working valves are vital to WSD operations,” said Water Services Director Terry Leeds. “Crews must be able to shut valves to isolate a main to make repairs. The fewer number of valves required to reduce pressure from a main means the fewer customers who are impacted during those repairs.”
