Residents can get active, enjoy nature at Wellness Walk

The City of Kansas City, Mo.’s Active Living KC initiative invites residents to attend its Wellness Walk on Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to noon. The 1.2 mile walk will begin at the Hickman Mills Junior High gymnasium, 9010 Old Santa Fe Road, and continue onto the 3-Trails Corridor Trail. Participants may walk at their own pace.

The Wellness Walk provides residents of all ages with a free opportunity to enjoy nature while being active and having fun. Everyone who participates will receive a small gift from Active Living KC.

The Wellness Walk will be held in conjunction with the LINC Caring Communities Health, Nutrition & Employment Resources Fair, which will be held at the Hickman Mills Junior High gymnasium on May 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
