City suspends taxicab driver for seven months

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and Bereket Issa, a taxicab driver, have agreed to a seven-month suspension of Issa’s taxicab drivers’ certificate.

The suspension will begin on Friday, April 27 and end on Nov. 30, 2012. The suspension is the result of Issa’s third attempt to solicit business illegally at the Kansas City International Airport. During the suspension, Issa will not be allowed to operate a taxicab in the City of Kansas City, Mo.
