Residents advised about wastewater overflow

into the Hickman Mills Creek Watershed

Water Services reports a wastewater overflow due to a grease blockage.

Investigations crews responded to a dry weather manhole overflow at 10036 Bennington at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 17th that was overflowing at the rate of five gallons per minute due to a grease clog in the sewer line. The overflow was stopped at 5:50 p.m.

Sewage entered a storm drain channel that led to Hickman Mills Creek. Signs have been posted and samples will be taken on Wednesday.
