Premium Auto Auction to be held July 21
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Tow Services Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department will hold a Premium Auto Auction on July 21 at the Vehicle Impound Facility located at 7750 E. Front St.
Registration is from 8-11 a.m. on the day of the auction and the bidding will start at 10 a.m. All bids must be made in-person. No one under 18 is allowed on the lot for participation in the auction and a state-issued identification card is required to be issued a bidder number. Buyers must pay for their vehicles with cash or a cashier’s check by 4:30 p.m. after the auction concludes. Premium Auto Auctions are held quarterly. Approximately 375 abandoned vehicles scheduled for sale will be sold immediately following the Premium Auction. That list of vehicles is available online at http://www.kcmo.org/neigh/Tow/Auctionlist.pdf.
The goal of the City's Premium Auto Auction is to provide opportunities for buyers to purchase vehicles at prices below retail. There is no reserve on these vehicles and they are sold to the highest bidder. Many of the vehicles were obtained through police actions and seizures. All vehicles are sold “as is” with no warranty.
