City Hall to reopen at 2:45 p.m., police clear building of threat
The City of Kansas City, Mo., announces that police have determined that there is no viable threat in or around City Hall, 414 E. 12th St. As such, City Hall will reopen to the public at 2:45 p.m., and City Hall employees are advised to return to their offices as soon as possible.
The City appreciates residents’ patience during today’s unexpected City Hall closure. Police exhaustively searched City Hall floor by floor and its surrounding perimeter to determine if a threat existed, after a bomb threat was called in this morning.
