Kansas City, Mo. recognized as a Top 10 destination for 2012
The City of Kansas City, Mo., has been recognized by Frommer’s in the Top 10 of its list of Top Destinations 2012. Frommer’s Travel Guides released the list today in its online publication as part of a continuing annual series.
As the only destination in the United States to be featured in this top 10 list, Kansas City is recognized for a growing number of hot spot attractions such as the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, the National World War I Museum, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the nearby Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art and the College Basketball Experience.
“It’s exciting to learn that others are discovering the incredible attractions that our city has to offer,” said Mayor Sly James, when learning of the Frommer’s listing. “We invite travelers from all over the globe to come to Kansas City and experience the attractions and great hospitality that make KC a great place to visit and an even greater place to call home.”
Other destinations in the Top 10 listing include Girona, Spain; Greenwich, London; the Yucatan Peninsula; the island of Curacao; and Chongqing, China.
