Premium Auto Auction on Oct. 14
Final auction at current location, next will be at green site
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Tow Services Division will conduct a Premium Auto Auction on Oct. 14 at the City tow lot, 3901 Bennington Ave.
Registration will be held from 8-11 a.m. and the auction will start at 10 a.m. The list of vehicles to be auctioned can be viewed online at http://www.kcmo.org/neigh/tow/premiumcars.pdf, but all bids must be made in-person. No one under 18 is allowed on the lot to participate in the auction and a state-issued identification card is required to be issued a bidder number. Buyers must pay for their vehicles with cash or cashier's check by the close of business on the day of the auction. These auctions are held quarterly.
"This is the final Premium Auto Auction at the current tow lot. The next auction, in January, will be held at our new lot at 7750 E. Front St.," said Lesly Forsberg, manager of the Tow Services Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. "This lot is being designed to leave a smaller ecological footprint and we expect to move before the end of this year."
The goal of the City's Premium Auto Auctions is to provide opportunities for buyers to purchase vehicles at prices below retail. There is no reserve on these vehicles and they are sold to the highest bidder. Many of the vehicles were obtained through police actions and seizures.
