City offers pool operator training classes
The City of Kansas City, Mo. announces two upcoming pool operator training class dates and times for Fall 2010. The classes will be held at the City of Kansas City, Mo. Health Department, 2400 Troost Ave., on Oct. 28 and Nov. 18. Both classes will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Due to space constraints, each class will be limited to 50 participants and pre-registration is required. To register, call 816-513-6315. The pool operator training costs $25 a person, payable by cash, money order or corporate check.
All pools, spas and hot tubs licensed by the Health Department are required to have a certified pool operator on staff or on contract. The Health Department also accepts certification through the National Swimming Pool Association and the National Recreation and Park Association, both of which offer local classes.
