City suspends taxicab driver for two days
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and Omar Mohamed, a taxicab driver, have agreed to a two-day suspension of Mohamed’s taxicab drivers’ certificate.
The suspension will begin on Monday, Oct. 3 and end Wednesday, Oct. 5. The suspension is the result of Mohamed’s failure to engage his taxicab meter and charge the customer a flat rate, which is prohibited by law, when transporting the passenger to the Power & Light District. During the suspension, Mohamed will not be allowed to operate a taxicab for service in the City of Kansas City, Mo.
