Applications due Oct. 2 for streetcar ballot
The City of Kansas City, Mo., reminds registered voters within the Downtown Streetcar Transportation Development District (TDD) that the deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot for the upcoming streetcar initiative is Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 5 p.m.
Applications for ballots and maps of the TDD boundary are available at the Jackson County Circuit Court Administrator’s office at 415 E. 12th St., Third Floor. The application form can also be downloaded from http://www.16thcircuit.org/streetcar. Ballots will be mailed on Tuesday, Oct. 30 to registered voters who have submitted a valid application, and they must be returned no later than Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012.
Only registered voters who live in the TDD may vote in the special election. The TDD encompasses the River Market, the Downtown Loop and Crown Center.
