Public meetings about Blue River Greenway Sept. 22, 23 and 24
The Public Works Department and the United States Army Corps of Engineers will conduct meetings about the Blue River Greenway master plan study Sept. 22, 23 and 24.
The study will focus on natural resource conservation, recreation and trail development along the lower Blue River. This area is from Bannister Road, north to the Missouri River.
The meeting objectives are to teach the benefits of greenway systems; identify key issues associated with the Blue River Corridor; and help formulate a future vision of the lower Blue River Corridor. The public is encouraged to attend the meetings and provide input.
On Sept. 22, the meeting will be conducted from 5-7 p.m. at J.A. Rodgers School, 6400 E. 23rd St.
On Sept. 23, the meeting will be conducted from 5-7 p.m. at Swope Parkway Health Center, 3801 Blue Parkway, in building A at the east end of the complex.
On Sept. 24, the meeting will be conducted at Hillcrest Community Center, 10401 Hillcrest Road.
