Nace invites Northland pet owners to rescheduled TV show taping
Councilwoman Becky Nace, 5th District at large, invites Northland pet owners and citizens to the rescheduled taping of “Pet Connection” Sept. 27. The taping will begin at 2 p.m. in Penguin Park, Vivion Road and North Norton Road. The taping had been scheduled for Sept. 13, but was canceled because of inclement weather.
Nace is the host of “Pet Connection,” which is seen on KCCG-TV2, the city government cable channel, available to Kansas City, Mo., residents who subscribe to Time Warner Cable or Everest Connections. The program is devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted pets by promoting pet adoption. “Pet Connection” has been instrumental in helping the City’s animal shelter increase adoptions by showcasing available dogs and cats. The program also provides information about various services provided by the Animal Control Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department, such as low-cost spay and neuter programs, vaccination clinics and pet licensing.
Also participating in the Sept. 27 taping will be Mike Schumacher, manager of the Animal Control Division. Schumacher will be available to answer questions and concerns regarding the Animal Control Division and the animal shelter. Schumacher’s staff will provide express pet licensing service at the taping of the show.
