City's animal shelter holds adoption event

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Animal Shelter will hold a special cat adoption event Saturday, Sept. 3 from noon to 4 p.m. at its shelter at 4400 Raytown Road.

The City's Animal Shelter houses an average of 9,000 animals annually. The shelter features animals of all ages, sizes, color and breed. Those looking for a family pet can find a wide variety of cats, kittens, dogs and puppies.

Those attending the event may adopt two cats for $45. This price includes spaying or neutering, a rabies vaccination, feline distemper vaccination, a one-year pet license, and a feline leukemia test.
