Residents advised about wastewater overflow near 15312 E. 48th St.
The Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reported a wastewater overflow due to a root stoppage in the sewer line at a manhole near 15312 E. 48th St. on Thursday, Aug. 9 at 8:40 a.m.
Approximately 90 gallons were discharged during the overflow, the sewage was contained in the area around the manhole, and clean up was performed. The overflow ended at 11:40 a.m., and the sewage did not reach a waterway.
