City hosts North Brighton open house Sept. 10
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Capital Improvements Management Office, a division of the City Manager’s Office, will host an open house public meeting from 6-8 p.m., on Sept10 to discuss the improvements planned for the segment of North Brighton Avenue from Parvin Road to State Highway 210. The meeting will be held at the Eastgate Middle School, 4700 N.E. Parvin Road.
Improvements being planned for this section of North Brighton Avenue generally include a modified three lane secondary arterial and also pavement widening, coordination with proposed sanitary sewer improvements, utilities, sidewalks, street lights, signal modifications and a preferred alignment. Construction on the project is planned to begin in 2011.
The Capital Improvements Management Office is managing this project and TranSystems Corporation is the contracted engineering firm that will provide design services.
