City suspends liquor license of 7-11 for six days
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and the managing officer of the 7-11 convenience store at 3201 Independence Ave., has agreed to a six-day suspension of the establishment’s liquor license.
The suspension began today at 6 a.m. and will end Sept. 1 at 1:30 a.m. The suspension is the result of employees selling alcoholic beverages to minors, which is a City ordinance violation. During the suspension, the business will remain open but alcoholic beverages will not be sold.
As a condition of the suspension, the managing officer of 7-11 has agreed to provide education, training and instruction to their employees about City ordinances.
Media inquiries about this issue should be directed to Gary Majors, manager of Regulated Industries Division, or Jim Ready, assistant manager of Regulated Industries Division at (816) 784-9000.
