Local businesses focus of disparity study
Local jurisdictions are seeking a consultant to conduct a disparity study about local minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged businesses.
The jurisdictions of the City of Kansas City, Mo.; the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kan.; the Kansas City, Mo., School District; the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority; and the Board of Public Utilities of Kansas City, Kan., are requesting proposals from any qualified persons or firms interested in conducting a second generation disparity study of the availability of minority-owned and woman-owned business enterprises and disadvantaged business enterprises in the Kansas City, Mo., metropolitan area. The study also will include information about the businesses’ utilization by the aforementioned entities in their purchasing of, or contracting for, materials and services including construction, professional, architectural, engineering and other services.
