FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Aug. 22, 2006
Eastbound Truman Road from Oak to McGee opens Friday
The eastbound lane of Truman Road from Oak Street to McGee Street, and Oak Street south of Truman Road to 16th Street are expected to open Friday evening instead of Wednesday as originally estimated.
These closures were due to a break in a 12-inch water main that happened Aug. 17.
Motorists should take McGee Street to 18th Street, go east to Holmes Street and north on Holmes Street back to eastbound Truman Road.
At the time of the water main break, the affected section of Truman Road was serving as a detour route for the closures necessitated by the Missouri Department of Transportation's Oak and Locust Street bridge rehabilitation project.
