North Hampton Bridge opens

Major construction on the North Hampton Bridge has completed, allowing the City to reopen the structure for general use as of 5 p.m. Aug. 18.

The $1.6 million project, which was managed by the City’s Capital Projects Office, replaced the aging Hampton Road Bridge over Brush Creek in Platte County with an updated concrete arch structure. In addition, work crews reconstructed the approach roadway.

Street lighting and landscaping work will continue for the next several weeks, but will not adversely impact motorists.
