Talented youth sought for Spotlight on KC
National talent scouts to judge contest
Kansas City, Mo., youth ages 12-18 can compete for a professional demo package and cash prizes at the second annual Spotlight on KC talent show. The talent show will be Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. at the Exhibit Hall in Municipal Auditorium, 301 W. 13th St. in Kansas City, Mo. The deadline to register is Sept. 1.
Auditions will be scheduled by the staff in the Youth Advocacy Office (City Manager's Office) according to availability on the following days: Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. until noon at Line Creek Community Center, 5940 N.W. Waukomis Drive; Sept. 9 from 1-3 p.m. at Tony Aguirre Community Center, 2050 West Pennway; Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. until noon at Brush Creek Community Center, 3801 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd.; and Sept. 16 from 1-3 p.m. at Hillcrest Community Center, 10401 Hillcrest Road.
Participants must attend free, mandatory entertainment workshops Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. until noon. The workshop locations are yet to be determined.
The auditions, workshops and the talent show are being coordinated by the Youth Advocacy Office.
