Residents advised about wastewater overflow near 5439 N. Bales Ave.
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reported a wastewater overflow due to blockage in the sewer line, caused by a grease stoppage, at a manhole near 5439 N. Bales Ave. on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at 3:15 p.m.
Approximately 60 gallons were discharged during the overflow, cleanup was performed, and the sewage was contained in the grassy area around the manhole. The overflow ended at 4:15 p.m., and the sewage did not reach a waterway.
