Back to school immunization clinic Saturday, Aug. 7
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department is holding a “Back-to-School” immunization clinic on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 2400 Troost Ave. No appointments are necessary. Participants should plan to arrive early.
Parents and guardians will need to present a copy of their child’s shot records or a letter from the child’s school stating what shots are needed. If the child has previously had shots at the Health Department, parents and guardians may get a copy of the shot record when they register at the event.
Immunizations are free for children who have no insurance, have limited insurance that does not cover immunization or are eligible for Medicaid’s Vaccine For Children program.
"I hope that all of our residents who desire vaccinations and have a financial need will take advantage of the free school immunization clinic offered by our health department," said Mayor Mark Funkhouser.
Immunizations are available daily in the Health Department’s immunization clinic during regular clinic hours.
