Residents advised about wastewater overflow in Brush Creek Watershed

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reported a wastewater overflow due to a debris blockage in the sewer line in front of 807 W. 48th St. on Tuesday, July 31st at 3 p.m.

The manhole overflowed and bypassed into Brush Creek from the outfall located across from 722 Ward Parkway.

The sewer overflowed at a rate of approximately 20 gallons per minute for an estimated total of 3,300 gallons. The overflow ended at 5:45 p.m.
