Waste Tire Drop-off July 6

The monthly Waste Tire Drop-off program operates the first Saturday of the month from March through November. Kansas City, Mo., residents may drop off waste tires at the Environmental Campus, 4707 Deramus St., from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, and Nov. 2.

Fees for tires are:

Car: $1.50 (rimless), and $3 (rimmed)

Truck: $4 (rimless), and $8 (rimmed)

Tractor: $11 (rimless), and $17 (rimmed)

Lawn/bike: 50 cents

A $2 fee will be charged for each waste tire that is excessively muddy.

Neighborhoods that conduct cleanups and have tires to get rid of may deliver tires free of charge. Only neighborhoods that call (816) 513-3468 in advance to register will have the fees waived.
