City suspends liquor license of Chelsea Market for 45 days

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhoods and Housing Services Department and Chelsea Market, a convenience store, have agreed to a 45-day suspension of Chelsea Market’s liquor license. Chelsea Market is located at 4808 E. 31st St.

The suspension will begin Sunday, July 15 at 9 a.m. and end Thursday, Aug. 30 at 1:30 a.m. The suspension is the result of violations of multiple City ordinances, including illegally purchasing stolen alcoholic beverages and selling them to the public. During the suspension, the business will be closed.

For more information about this suspension, call Gary Majors, manager of the Regulated Industries Division, at 816-784-9020.
