City invites residents to celebrate Independence Day at KCRiverfest
The City of Kansas City, Mo., is proud to be a sponsor of the Eighth Annual KCRiverfest on Wednesday, July 4 from 1-11 p.m. at Richard L. Berkley Riverfront Park.
Residents are invited to attend and safely celebrate Independence Day as the City lights up with live music, entertainment, carnival rides and more. Enjoy traditional Kansas City and carnival foods, such as hot dogs grilled to order, barbeque, cotton candy and thirst-quenching beverages.
Zambelli Fireworks will perform an elaborate, 20-minute fireworks display to light up the sky beginning at 10:05 p.m. on Festival Plaza overlooking the Missouri River.
Admission is $5 per person, or $4 if purchased in advance online. Children 12 years old and younger are free. Admission will be free for everyone from 1-3 p.m.
KCRiverFest will offer limited, reserved parking onsite for $10. Residents may also park for free in the City Market area and take a free shuttle bus to the festival. The shuttle bus will make stops on Grand Boulevard at 3rd, 5th and 7th streets.
