FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 24, 2008
PIAC 4th District meeting rescheduled
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Improvements Advisory Committee has rescheduled its next 4th District neighborhood hearing due to construction near the Westport-Roanoke Community Center. The meeting now will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on July 22 at the Country Club Congregation Church, 205 W. 65th St.
The Public Improvements Advisory Committee uses information gathered at hearings to recommend projects for funding to the City Council for fiscal year 2009-10. Funds from the committee are allocated from a one-cent sales tax for public improvements.
At the meetings, residents also can tell the committee about needed public improvement projects by completing a request form. These forms will be available at the hearing or are available from the Capital Improvements Program.
