Appeal hearing to be June 21 for Golddiggers' liquor license
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division and the Liquor Control Board will conduct a hearing June 21 for the owners of Golddiggers to appeal the City's decision to not renew the business' liquor license. Golddiggers is located at 5540 E. Bannister Road in Kansas City, Mo.
"The establishment no longer met the qualifications to be licensed as a restaurant-bar as defined by both City ordinances and State of Missouri statutes," said Jim Ready, acting manager of the Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department. "Because density does not allow for a tavern to be located at this address as outlined in the City's code of ordinances, Golddiggers' liquor license was not renewed and their request to be downgraded to a tavern was denied."
The hearing is scheduled for June 21 at 8:30 a.m. It will be held at Century Towers, located at 635 Woodland Ave., in suite 2101.
