Residents advised about wastewater overflow in Blue River Watershed

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Water Services Department reports a wastewater overflow due to grease in the sewer line near 7502 James A Reed Road on Wednesday, June 13 at 5:11 p.m.

Sewage was surfacing from the ground at the rate of less than 10 gallons per minute. The sewage did not reach the state's water. The sewage was contained in a ditch and pumped back into the collection system. The overflow ended at 5:34 p.m.
