City will host public meetings for Bike KC plan update

The City of Kansas City, Mo., will hold its first round of public meetings next week to get feedback as it prepares to update Bike KC, the City’s bicycle facilities plan. Identical meetings will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the following dates and locations:

    • Tuesday, June 18, 2013

    Mid-Continent Library-North Oak Branch

    8700 N. Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64155

    • Thursday, June 20, 2013

    Brush Creek Community Center

    3801 Emanuel Cleaver Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64110

City staff will lead presentations at 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. The presentations will include an explanation of the plan update process, Bike KC history, current facilities, process for changes to the adopted route system, and a discussion of facility types.

Participants will be encouraged to provide their feedback verbally and in the form of a survey and comment card.
