Wet Weather Solutions community panel meets Tuesday

The Wet Weather Solutions Program will hold its June community panel meeting Tuesday, June 13 from 4-6 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 1104 N.E. Vivion Road, Kansas City, Mo.

Meeting topics will include continued discussion of stormwater policies; information on the city’s erosion and sediment control activities; a final report of the public opinion survey; an introduction to program evaluation criteria; and various program updates.

The Wet Weather Solutions Program is a city-wide sewer overflow, stormwater and waterways initiative.

The Wet Weather Community Panel, formed in 2003, is a diverse group of neighborhood representatives, business leaders and others with environmental interests, who were appointed by Mayor Kay Barnes. As a part of the Wet Weather Solutions Program, the panel is helping to shape a plan to address sewer overflows, stormwater management, waterway uses and related matters.
