City partners with Kansas City Royals for fourth annual PLAY Clinic
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Office of Civic and Community Engagement has partnered with the Kansas City Royals to offer a free baseball PLAY (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) Clinic to Kansas City area youth, ages 11-16. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the field at Kauffman Stadium.
The Royals PLAY Clinic provides boys and girls throughout the Kansas City area the opportunity to enhance their baseball skills, while also learning about the benefits of living a healthy, active lifestyle. Clinic participants will receive four complimentary tickets to a Royals game.
“Encouraging physical activity among our young people is critical to developinga healthy community in the future,” said First District Councilman Scott Wagner.“I’m very pleased and proud to see the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club once again stepping up to the plate to help our city’s young people learn more about the lifestyles that will keep them healthy and active for years to come.”
