City suspends liquor license of Murphy’s Pub & Grill for two days
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and Murphy’s Pub & Grill, a restaurant, has agreed to a two-day suspension of the restaurant’s liquor license. Murphy’s Pub & Grill is located at 8314 Wornall Road.
The suspension will begin May 3, at 6 a.m. and end May 6, at 1:30 a.m. The suspension is the result of employees selling alcoholic beverages to minors, which is a city ordinance violation. During the suspension, the business will be closed.
As a condition of the suspension, the managing officer of Murphy’s Pub & Grill has agreed to provide education, training and instruction to their employees about City ordinances.
Media inquiries about this issue should be directed to Gary Majors, manager of the Regulated Industries Division, or Jim Ready, assistant manager of the Regulated Industries Division at 816-784-9000.
