Health Department to extend STD clinic hours in April

In recognition of Sexually Transmitted Disease Awareness month, the City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department will temporarily extend the hours of the sexually transmitted disease clinic at 2400 Troost Ave. On April 6, 13, 20 and 27, the clinic will remain open until 6:30 p.m. The extended hours are for testing only. Any treatment will take place during the normal clinic hours.

The clinic is regularly open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clinic services are free of charge and include confidential testing for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis and HIV. For the regular clinic, walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are encouraged. The extended clinics will be walk-in only.
