Aim4Peace to sponsor community forum March 25
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Aim4Peace program, an evidence-based violence prevention initiative, will sponsor a community forum on Thursday, March 25. The event will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2801 Swope Parkway. This event is free and open to the public.
The forum is designed to provide public dialogue and community education utilizing the experience, research and recommendations of local clinicians, in order to develop new paradigms for risk-reduction and community intervention strategies to reduce homicide and violence among black males. Between 2003 and 2007, homicide was the leading cause of death for black males ages five to 35 in Kansas City.
For more information about the community forum or about how to get involved in Aim4Peace, please call (816) 513-7902 or visit www.kcmo.org/aim4peace.
