Premium Auto Auction on March 3
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Tow Services Division will conduct a Premium Auto Auction on March 3 at the City tow lot. The lot is now located at 7750 E. Front St.
Registration will be held from 8-11 a.m. and the auction will start at 10 a.m. The vehicles scheduled to be auctioned can be viewed online at http://www.kcmo.org/neigh/tow/premiumcars.pdf, but all bids must be made in-person. To see the list of all the cars available, visit http://www.kcmo.org/neigh/Tow/Auctionlist.pdf (the premium cars are in the section of the page that is shaded blue).
No one under 18 is allowed on the lot for participation in the auction and a state-issued identification card is required to be issued a bidder number. Buyers must pay for their vehicles with cash or a cashier's check by the close of business on the day of the auction. These auctions are held quarterly.
The goal of the City's Premium Auto Auctions is to provide opportunities for buyers to purchase vehicles at prices below retail. There is no reserve on these vehicles and they are sold to the highest bidder. Many of the vehicles were obtained through police actions and seizures.
