City and local establishments agree on settlements due to ordinance violations
The City of Kansas City, Mo., Regulated Industries Division of the Neighborhood and Community Services Department and the managing officers of two local establishments have agreed upon settlements related to recent City ordinance violations concerning alcohol sales to minors.
The managing officer of Taqueria Mexico II, a restaurant located at 5920 Independence Ave., has agreed upon a settlement including a $1,000 fine. The settlement is the result of employees selling alcoholic beverages to minors which is a City ordinance violation. As a condition of the settlement, the managing officer of Taqueria Mexico II has agreed to provide education, training and instruction to employees about City ordinances.
The managing officer of Food Stop, a convenience store located at 4815 Independence Ave., has agreed upon a settlement including a $4,500 fine. This settlement also is the result of employees selling alcoholic beverages to minors. As a condition of the settlement, the managing officer of Food Stop has agreed to provide education, training and instruction to employees about City ordinances.
