Health Department opens Northland branch

The City of Kansas City, Mo., Health Department is pleased to announce that it now offers environmental services at a new Northland location, 4420 N.E. Chouteau Trafficway.

The following Health Department services are currently available at the Northland location:

    • Food service permits

    • Food handler classes

    • Food handler cards

    • Temporary event permits

    • Pool permits

    • Pool operator classes

    • Noise permits

    • Lodging and child care inspections

    • Fee payments

“Though we have always provided these services throughout the city, our hope is that this new branch location will help make these services more accessible to the growing number of residents and businesses in the Northland,” said First District at Large Councilman Scott Wagner. “This is the first step toward the possibility of providing all services currently offered at the Health Department’s primary location at a Northland branch office.”

The current location is being leased through an agreement with Northland Neighborhoods, Inc.

“Northland Neighborhoods, Inc. is pleased to expand our partnership with the City of Kansas City, Mo., to include the Health Department,” said Deb Hermann of NNI. “This new partnership will make many essential services within reach of Kansas City citizens and neighborhoods who have found them difficult to obtain in the past.”

Office hours at this branch location are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. All of these services will continue to be offered at the Health Department’s main office at 2400 Troost Ave.
