Boil Water Advisory Rescinded
A Boil Water Advisory issued by the KCMO Water Services Department on February 4 has been canceled at 5 pm, Saturday, Feb. 5.
The affected area was one block of Walnut Street, from Truman Road south to 16th Street.
Customers no longer need to boil water prior to drinking or cooking.
This precautionary Boil Water Advisory was issued due to a water main break that occurred at 1510 Walnut, where normal repairs were impacted by contamination from an abandoned underground storage tank.
Tests on the water show that the water meets requirements for public drinking water and is safe to drink without boiling.
Customers affected by this Boil Water Advisory may contact Water Services at 3-1-1 for more information about the boil advisory.
For more information, contact Colleen Doctorian, public information officer for the Water Services Department at (816) 513-0232.
