Salvation Army Asking for Donations of Flashlights and Batteries

The Salvation Army is asking the citizens of Kansas City for donations of all types of flashlights and batteries (A, AA, B, C, D and lantern batteries). Out-of-state crews, who are working into the night to restore power and remove tree limbs in the Greater Kansas City area, are in need of these items. Flashlight and battery donations can be dropped off on Sunday, February 3, at the Salvation Army warehouse, 1110 East Truman, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For more information, please contact Dee Shukert with the Salvation Army at 816-898-9830. The Salvation Army is supporting the recovery efforts by providing beverages and food to over 1,000 relief workers in the Kansas City metro area.
