Over a period of five years, an extensive public participation program was a big part of the Wet Weather Solutions Program.  The public participation program was designed to educate and involve the public in the City’s long-term planning process to develop ways to reduce flooding, improve water quality and protect and restore the natural environment.

  • Two videos about the Wet Weather Solutions Program
  • Two public opinion surveys to gauge public opinion and knowledge of wet weather issues
  • Articles about the Wet Weather Solutions Program in Waterlines (bi-monthly water bill insert)
  • Eblasts on wet weather information to nearly 500 individuals signed up on the email notification list
  • Water quality testing program in area schools with Blue River Watershed Association
  • Departmental Wet Weather Solutions Program Team Meetings

  • Basin Coordinating Committee Meetings
